WE SUPPORT THE MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN BUDUDA, UGANDA –
CHILDREN WHO HAVE BEEN ORPHANEDDUE TO HIV OR OTHER CAUSES, CHILDREN
WHO’S PARENTS ARE TOO UNWELL TO CARE FOR THEM, CHILDREN WHO WOULD
OTHERWISE BE ON THE STREET.
WE ENSURE EVERY CHILD IS IN A LOVING, CARING FAMILY HOME.
WE PUT EVERY CHILD THROUGH EDUCATIONAND ENSURE THEY HAVE
THE SKILLS TO BE INDEPENDENT CITIZENS.
WE PUT WOMENS RIGHTS AT THE HEART OF EVERYTHING WE DO.

Our Aim is to...

You Know?
All the research concludes that education is the main step out of
poverty; it leads to healthier childhoods, greater economic
prospects, decreased child marriages and better chance of
gender equality.
Did
You Know?
Although there are government funded schools in Uganda,
children can not progress to the next year without taking exams
which cost money. Not to mention they struggle to learn
without any scholastic materials.

You Know?
There are many issues with government funded schools
in Uganda including lack of funding, lack of teachers,
untrained teachers resulting in poor quality education.
We enrol all of our children in the best possible quality
schools so they get a suitable education.

You Know?
Did you know that almost half of all females aged 15 - 24 years
in Uganda are illiterate? 4 out of 5 girls in Uganda never attend
secondary school? Up to 40% of Ugandan girls are married before
the age of 18? Females face harsher barriers to education than
males and we tackle this!

Did you know that for every 10 children in Uganda that goes
to primary school, only 1 will go on to secondary school!

On average our students walk 40 minutes to school and back!
Imagine this in tropical rain storms or 35 degree heat and
on an empty stomach?

We work in the Bududa district, Eastern Uganda - This is one
of the poorest districts in the whole country and often labelled
the “forgotten district”. Extreme poverty, mountainous terrain
and lack of infrastructure make life here very difficult!

Uganda is one of the poorest countries in the world and also
is in the top 10 countries for highest HIV prevalence.
